Most employment lawyers learned the law first, then the business.
I did it backwards.
For nearly 15 years before becoming a lawyer, I built my career across finance, insurance, healthcare, and legal sectors. I worked with executives, supported legal teams, led training initiatives, and managed high-stakes employee benefits issues.
I saw firsthand how legal decisions ripple through organizations, affecting morale, productivity, and real people's lives. I learned what works in practice, not just in theory.
When I was called to the Ontario Bar in 2021, I brought something different to employment law: a deep understanding of how businesses actually operate.
That's what sets my practice apart.
I don't just know employment law, I understand the business context where it lives. Whether I'm working as fractional counsel for a growing company or providing research support to a law firm, I bring practical insight that comes from being inside the challenges my clients face.
My experience spans workplace contracts, policy development, compliance audits, complex compensation structures, terminations, and litigation support. But more importantly, I understand how these legal pieces fit into your bigger picture.
I founded my practice to fill a gap I saw repeatedly: smart professionals dealing with employment law challenges who needed someone who gets both the law and the business reality.
